About Bendigo Floor Sanders
This service began with our own floor. It was cracked and needed repairs, and we wanted to understand the options for fixing and finishing it properly. After reading up, we contacted more than ten local flooring contractors. Very few replied.
Plenty of good tradespeople are busy, and chasing quotes shouldn't be that hard. Bendigo Floor Sanders exists to connect homeowners and businesses in Greater Bendigo and nearby Central Victorian towns with a local floor sander who answers enquiries and turns up when they say they will.
We are an enquiry service, not a flooring contractor. We don't do the work. With your consent, we pass your enquiry to one independent local floor sander, once one is appointed.
How contractors are chosen
We don't list every business we can find. Before working with a contractor we look at:
- Response. We send test enquiries and note who replies and how quickly.
- Follow-through. Whether quotes arrive when promised and jobs start when agreed.
- Public feedback. What past customers say on independent websites.
- Whether they're an established business, registered and trading.
If a contractor stops replying quickly or doing what they said, we stop sending them enquiries.
What happens after you get in touch
- Send an enquiry or call. Tell us where the floor is, what's on it now and what you want done. Use the form or phone 0489 982 069.
- We check it. Your enquiry comes to us first so we can confirm the details and that your area is covered.
- We pass it on, with your consent. Once a partner is appointed, we share your enquiry with that one floor sander so they can contact you about a quote.
- You deal with the contractor. The quote, price, timing and work are agreed between you and them. You're never obliged to go ahead.
What we will and won't promise
Timber floors vary with the boards, the house and how they've been treated, and not every job goes to plan. We won't promise a price, a start date or a result on a contractor's behalf.
We will:
- say plainly that we're an enquiry service and not the business doing the work;
- share your enquiry only with your consent, with one partner, and never sell your details;
- show typical prices with their sources on our prices page;
- stop working with contractors who don't reply or follow through.
